Join us for an all-day workshop featuring the process of flotation! Flotation is a method archaeologists use for recovering the fragile remains of plants. It is a key part of reconstructing what people ate in the past. This workshop will run from 10am-4pm (lunch provided) and involve you in every step of processing the flotation samples we collected from the Community Education Center excavations. We will spend much of the day outside and it’s very likely you’ll get kind of muddy, so come dressed appropriately. No prior experience necessary, but please RSVP so we know how many people to plan for!
